Adam Hawley - Owner/Photographer

Since 2001, Adam has fine tuned Real Estate Photography and Virtual Tours! With tens of thousands of properties and clients under his belt, he has the professionalism and experience that meets and exceeds all of his clients needs. Through his mastery of visual appeal and property presentation and compositions, he's gained the vast majority of listings in prestigious communities such as Land Fall, Figure 8, Wrightsville Beach and others. Clients are comfortable and confident in knowing Adam can handle any property and can insure customers the satisfaction they seek, especially in the depiction and display of their properties.

Alicia Hawley - Photographer/Customer Relations & Support

Alicia graduated in 2006 from UNCW with a Chemistry and a minor in Phycology. She then pursued a career in IT and technical support for the US government on Camp Lejeune Marine Corps Base. Alicia joined Adam and his team just after their son Austin was born. Her passion for photography, great sense of detail, and charming personality has made her the perfect match for Adam and his team!

Chase Creech - Photographer

As a Wilmington lifer and coastal native, Chase Creech is not solely a photographer, he is an artist. Creech earned a Digital Media degree from Liberty University, which accredited and furthered his love and talent in photography and filmmaking. Having found his home behind the lens as a preteen, Creech feels humbled and blessed to exercise his passions as a career and a skillful member of the UMD team. If Creech isn't holding a camera, chances are high he is riding waves, enjoying time with his family, or brainstorming, writing and producing short films. Chase Creech and his creativity, adornment for coastal North Carolina, and knowledge of photography are here to make images shine for UMD and its clients.

Melissa Luther - Photographer/Photo Editor

Melissa's infatuation with exploration and capturing moments commenced humbly through the lens of a Kodak Instamatic camera during an excursion with her family to Yellow Stone National Park. A quarter of a century later, she remains devoted to her craft, skillfully capturing diverse subjects ranging from high-end fashion images to breathtaking island vistas in the Caribbean. Equipped with a background in International Marketing and armed with a degree in Graphic Design earned from NC School of Communication Arts, Melissa embraces the opportunity to utilize her design expertise to breathe life into her photographic works. Originating from Hunstville Alabama, she relocated to Topsail Island in 2002, where her deep-seated love for the vast ocean eventually blossomed into a fervor for surfing, as well as other aquatic activities. Serendipitously, it was through her surfing endeavors that Melissa encountered her partner in life, Phil Luther, and together they operate a renowned surf emporium in Porter's Neck. Whether it is riding the waves, navigating the water with a paddle, plunging into its depths, or capturing mesmerizing images, Melissa can invariably be found in close proximity to the aquatic realm.

Kevin J McCauley - Photographer

Happy husband. Happy father. Explorer. Photographer. Videographer. Student of life.

Kevin is most at home in the great outdoors. Raised in Maryland, some of his favorite memories are of camping, skiing and going to the beach. After graduating from college, he drove out west with his siblings to see the great wonders of this country. From them on, he was hooked on photography. From the Badlands, to Yellowstone, to Rocky Mountain National Park and Yosemite, travel and photography became his passion.

To settle down in one location, he needed to be minutes from the ocean, a short drive to the mountains, and near family and friends. The Wilmington area checked all the boxes for him and his wife. His favorite activities now are spending time with his wife and 2 daughters, anywhere they can spend it outdoors. He loves capturing the little moments with his cameras, but loves putting the cameras down and enjoying the moments even more.

With experience working in a photo lab, almost 2 decades with a camera in his hands, and having established his own photography business, Kevin is now grateful to join an immensely talented group at Unique Media & Design.

Ryan Butschle - Videographer/Photographer

Ryan Butschle Originally from Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, Ryan found himself calling the Topsail area home after his time in the United States Marine Corps was complete. After honorably serving his country for eight years, Ryan briefly turned his service to the local community of Surf City as a Police Officer. While continuing to search for his professional niche, an old hobby of photography decided to pay him a visit and prove to be a guiding light for his future. Using online resources and a passion to pursue the art of photography and videography, Ryan taught himself the fundamentals and technical skills required to create professional photos and videos. While still maintaining his own photo and video business, Ryan joined Unique Media and Design in 2024 and has since helped bolster the video portion of professional real estate marketing for the company. His wife and two dogs love living in the local area and plan to be here for a long time to come.
